The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm within the community. From the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the title's launch, to players developing firm opinions on the full lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to anticipate.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

Aries – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their stories. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a show, albeit for aliens.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its ears to detect how people are emotionally by their pulse. Always compassionate – sometimes to a fault – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Scales who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to worry even more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through pure hatred and swore revenge on its former owner. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a show. Being a Archer personally, the amount of occasions I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can imagine.
