We present an easy interpretation of a cocktail found on a new drinks list. This is a party-sized pre-mixed that is bursting with the tastes of the Christmas time, rendering it excellent for a festive gathering. Save the extra syrup to use in breakfast cocktails, puddings, or to make more rounds of this cocktail.

Ingredients for the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Cocktail (makes 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
Making the Cordial: Put all the components in a pan, heat until it reaches a light boil, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Then, turn off the heat and let it to cool down fully. Pour into a sealable bottle, seal and store in the refrigerator, it can be stored for about one month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Pour the specified liquids into one big jug, let it rest for 60 minutes, then strain preferably using a fine cloth, making it perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Add 85ml of your premix into a cocktail shaker containing ice, and stir gently for one minute to cool it down. Filter into an chilled martini glass or similar, top with a few cranberries and finish with a brief mist of mandarin oil over the drink.
